It has been about a month since version 1.1 was released and the amount of traffic and questions I receive has increased quite a lot, which is great! Thanks for sending in feedback and reporting bugs. It really helps in improving the application. The weather has been absolutely stunning here in New Zealand around x-mas and NY and while I have been in the water most of the time, I have still managed to spend some time on new features for my open source project FlexPaper. A bunch of minor issues were also resolved.

If you like me are short on time to get into all gazillion posts about all the different features of Flex 4 and would rather just have a free & quick tutorial to quickly browse through the main features, the guide currently developed by Ted is a good place to start.
Its latest chapter on states offers a pretty quick intro...
AlivePDF is a open source PDF library which allows you to leverage PDF functionality with your Adobe Flex applications. It is completely client based and seems to be the best library out there at the moment unless you want to go with the more heavy Adobe Livecycle option. AlivePDF allows you to do both customized printing of drawn objects and text as well as capturing and printing...
With Morgan Stanley choosing Adobe Flex as technology for their trading platform (named Matrix), a debate around these two platforms fired up. Morgan Stanley’s choice is obviously a big win for Adobe as a step into the enterprise software world. Morgan Stanley’s Matrix founder and global director...
